The Tea Rooms

The Tea Rooms are set in a 16th Century building in the historic old town of Poole, where you will find a fabulous selection of delicious breakfasts, homemade cakes, bakes, light lunches and afternoon teas.

We prepare all food to order with fresh ingredients. We also host a selection of speciality teas from around the world.

SPECIALITY TEAS, TISANES & INFUSIONS

At The Courtyard Tea Rooms we offer the discerning tea drinker what is probably the widest range of quality teas, tisanes and infusions in Poole. All served in a range of teapots of all shapes and sizes, cups, mugs and tea in bags or loose leaf. If you have a preference, or a favourite pot just let us know when ordering and we’ll try our best to accommodate.

One of our suppliers is a local company, Blendings of Parkstone. We also have a wide variety of exotic teas from China & Japan along with a selection of others from Malaya, Indonesia and Singapore.

Our new 2015 menu includes several new teas and we now offer 24 varieties for our customers to enjoy.

We are able to provide some teas either in bag or loose leaf and you can also purchase retail packs for gifts or to enjoy at home.

FRESHLY PREPARED LIGHT BITES & SNACKS

To complement our selection of teas, coffees and soft drinks we have a wide range of freshly prepared light bites and snacks all made to order on the premises.

Try one of our homemade individual square quiches filled with delicious seasonal ingredients or a grilled panini with homemade coleslaw & side salad.

Alongside our main menu look out for other seasonal special dishes and drinks. Or just pop in for a cream tea with homemade scones, locally produced jams and clotted cream!

The Courtyard is not ‘nut-free’ but we take every effort to identify products containing nuts.

THE COURTYARD AMBIENCE

The Courtyard Tea rooms provide an atmosphere of calm tranquility. In winter, or when the weather is inclement, come and tuck yourself away in our candlelit 'snug'. It just might become your favourite retreat!

COURTYARD CATERING

Why not let us cater for your next meeting or celebration?

Feel free to ask us for details about hiring out the snug or the entire Tea Rooms for business meetings, christenings, intimate weddings or wakes.

The Courtyard Garden

When the weather is fine, relax and enjoy our secluded courtyard garden which is sheltered from the wind and away from the hustle and bustle of the High Street.

We have a fine selection of plants, most of which are climbers and there is a very old winding Wisteria which looks stunning when in flowers mid April - May.

Small, well-behaved dogs are welcome in our courtyard garden but should be kept on a lead at all times.
